Review of Vermeil in Gold
Vermeil in Gold is an underrated fantasy anime that combines magic, romance, and comedy in a way that keeps you entertained from start to finish. The story follows a classic yet enjoyable setup, where a struggling magic student accidentally summons a powerful demon. While the premise isn’t groundbreaking, it’s executed well with plenty of fun and emotional moments. The art style is vibrant and colorful, fitting the fantasy setting perfectly. Character designs are appealing, especially Vermeil, whose presence dominates the screen with both charm and power. The animation quality is solid, especially in battle scenes where spells and abilities are well-animated. One of the highlights is thechemistry between Alto and Vermeil. Their dynamic is engaging, blending humor, tension, and heartfelt moments. Alto isn't an overpowered protagonist, which makes his growth more satisfying, while Vermeil's personality adds depth to the story.
While the anime follows familiar tropes, it doesn’t take away from the enjoyment. Fans of supernatural fantasy with a mix of romance will definitely find it entertaining. I really hope we get a Season 2!
