I'm a big Kanon fan, so this adaptation is still an 8 for me, while Kyoto's is an easy 10. I think this Anime is only interesting for those, who love the Visual Novel or the Story in general. This adaptation is inferior in every way. Still! It has got a lot of charm, and even the new opening song totally has a vibe, even tho of course it's not as good as the 2006's one which uses the original song from the VN. The beginning of the opening is my favorite part of the opening, the way the camera moves around the characters looks reallygood and nowadays we see such things done in cgi only (I know, the backgrounds already are).
I think the artstyle isn't the adaptation's biggest problem, I personally kinda like it, I do prefer the way Yuuichi looks in here a little more, he looks a little old in the 2006 adaptation.
The biggest problem is of course that it is too short, the visual novel is way too long for that. 2006 adaption did this very well, covering basically most of the visual novel.
The OVA is a very nice addition, make sure to watch it in case you see this adaption.
