VOL. 1: Decided to give something different a go on a whim, and I'm glad I did! While this generally isn't the type of manga I go for, I can't deny that it hooked me pretty quickly and I'm very invested already in seeing where things go. The characters are all very likeable, the artwork is superb, and the story hits on a ton of different genres, from comedy to romance to mystery, all very deftly. The melancholy atmosphere that's built here is great, and overall this just felt like a breath of fresh air to me in contrast to what I'm usually drawn to.Good stuff.
VOL. 2: The mystery deepens, and it's excellent stuff. The four kids are all so likeable and well-developed, and this has hooked me not just due to the mystery and storytelling aspects, but also because I genuinely feel a connection to the characters and want to see how their individual stories unfold. Jumping right into the final volume!
VOL 3: Great ending! Definitely one of the best manga I've read that isn't a million chapters long. I found some of the characters here to be more well-rounded and have more growth than other characters in manga that are ten times the length. Even if this isn't the type of manga that you usually bother with (which was the case with me), give it a chance, as the mystery is one that completely delivers, and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how engaging this is.
