It's an interesting premise, but it doesn't really figure into the story in any important ways. This is really just a story about a teenage boy magically and forcibly "changed" into a girl, now trying to make sense of puberty, friendships, romance, and parents that just don't understand. And like puberty, it's more feeling than story--everything seems more important and meaningful than it is, but nothing really happens. The feelings are real, but but they're still just feelings. Then, it's just... over. Like a childhood origin story for adult characters we never meet. But the characters are, for the most part, likeable and/or relatable enough to make thereader want to know more about them, which speaks to the strengths of the story. Along with the fact that it's not just a bunch of badly written characters and dated jokes.
Plus, the art is pretty good.
It's not a bad manga, it just feels like Yoshitomi just got bored with the story and ended it.
