Review of Steins;Gate 0
I began this review in my diary when I was in episode 12. And I kept on updating my review with every episode. I was very disappointed with the first half I nearly dropped watching and didn't watch for 3 days, I had dropped on episode 12 .I totally disliked the concept , Amadeus and Kurisu looking Kagari . But a thought kept striking my mind “Do not judge a book by its cover”. So I resumed watching the anime and I am so surprised and I'm so glad that I watched it. After 15 episode onwards the Anime gets so interesting, so mind blowing and so amazing the anime's last portion was so amazing I don't care how the first half was dull. I give a score 9 and all the credit goes to the second half. It is perfect in every aspect.
You may or may not like the first half portion but the last portion is no doubt super amazing.
I cannot help decide what season I love the most both are very awesome ,this SG0 season's ending is more complicated and satisfying than sg..
I really liked it to see 2036 and how horrible things are in that time in Worldwar3 and what were the circumstances that led Daru to send his daughter back in time. It is all shown in this season .We get to see grown up Daru and all other lab members.
It has a short slice of life and comedy moments. Do u want to see Daru going on a real date , yes you can see in steins 0 .Mayuri and all the lab members having party and fun together and how strong their friendship bond is. You can see Daru’s future wife and learn a lot about other characters as well OKABE HAS A MOM!!OMG!he’s not alone.
Sometimes there are repetition of events.It seems the writer is obsessed with Kurisu Kurisu,even kagari resembles Kurisu so it feels irritating but the last portion of anime is mindblowing.
Yes there is Suzuha from the beginning of the season, she has a very crucial role in this season.She keeps on trying to convince Okabe to travel back in time and save Kurisu buy Okabe refuses everytime. He believes it will only cause danger to life of near one’s.
Suzuha:She is one of my favourite characters.You can enjoy very cute moments of dad and daughter.In this timeline, yes Suzuha is aware about dad being his father.How Daru tries to cheer her up by making funny actions like every father does to his baby. Suzuha tries to avoid herself from mom.You get a lot to see her in action and her bravery. She is a hero, a fighter an adventurer.
Moeka: Why have they included moeka?her presence hasn’t made me feel good.how can be she so helpful to Okabe in another timeline.How can a person’s action change so drastically on other timelines. May be because we get to learn about her. She wants to feel being useful and worthy to others and hence feel satisfied by herself by using her skills and work for someone. That’s the reason she helped cern in the 1st season and for the same reason she helps Okabe in this season. Feeling of being skillful and useful is her aim. Thats why she fell into depression when she was abandoned by cern in the timeline where she had committed suicide.
Mayuri: She is the real hero. Have you seen a side of Mayuri making sacrifices for Okabe? She has taken such a dangerous decision for the sake of Okabe and prove her love for him. Have u seen a side of Mayuri? Knowing in her heart Okabe loves and mourns for another girl Kurisu. She admits she loves Okabe the most?All this you get to see in sg0.The 16th episode is well done. Dialogues are amazing,filled with emotions. It’s the best episode.The episode framing was so perfect.The plot, feelings of Mayuri are excellently expressed. You will get hardly very few anime with such an excellent episode framing(ep 16)
It was a great to see another friend having reading steiner but she didn’t show up in the end. It could have been a good idea to show her using her reading steiner abilities too in the story.
Kagari also proved to be a good character in the end, she was mentally unstable all the time but in the end she took a very wise decision.It was quite impressive
My last words ,if you are a big fan of sg then no doubt go for this season 2.The first portion may be unimpressive but the last part is the best, best, best.
