Review of Darwin's Game

It's fine, not terrible, but not particularly amazing either. I feel like I would have liked this show if I hadn't experienced much better death games. The show is at least enjoyable, in a fun and edgy way, there are actually interesting and amazing characters in this show, just not the main two. I have seen many plain and boring main characters in anime, and for once these two actually made me actively dislike them. This show is similar to Future Diary in many aspects, but at least I actually became interested in Yuno and Yukiteru as characters. These ones have all the soul suckedout of them, in this discount horrible mesh of who knows what personality they'll have, because even the creators don't know!

Death games can be hit or miss. The problem is the psychological part, death games are meant to have twists that make you reel in surprise, and even if the twist is obvious, at least it will have a psychological effect in the story. This has neither twist nor psychology, and in the end, it is a decent death game show in the pile of good death games yet to be animated.
