As a Proof-of-Concept/Pilot, I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. Firstly, the VAs did an amazing job!! If I closed my eyes, you could immediately tell their personalities apart from one another. Favorites being Fairouz Ai as D.D., Yui Horie as our MC Zero, and Mutsumi Tamura as Ring. Even in the smaller moments of the side characters, like Ootani and Yukari's, you can tell they were having fun with their performances. Secondly, the style is immediately eye-catching. I've seen others note that they have reservations about the facial structures or the fact that the outlines are so thick and appear over their hair, but I findthat as a well-done implementation of the artist's artistic style (you see the same things in her other works). I didn't mind it at all. The music that paired with the fight scenes was also great as well as the background art. Reminds me of Inuyasha in some instances. Speaking of that, there are multiple moments where our main characters emote in very expressive ways (when Zero has her braid shot off or when she first wakes up after crash-landing) that I love and miss from modern anime.

I hope it gets more popular so that a large studio takes notice and will fund more episodes to be created, even if it only starts off as 12 episodes, which I could see helping out the pacing a lot. (That would also eliminate the concerns some have over how this was funded, although I don't have an issue with that personally, as the end product was very enjoyable)

Congrats to Ayaka and everyone else who worked on this!! Hoping for more soon!!
