i really loved it, but -1 point for having a loli character. although i've grown to just accept it because you really can't escape pedophilic and/or incestuous themes in japanese media. the plot was good and well-paced enough for me to watch all 12 episodes in one sitting, which rarely happens for me because i'm adhd. it's been about 4 years now so it's very unlikely, but i'm hoping this gets a second season! if you're looking for something similar to this, i highly recommend morose mononokean. very similar theme (but instead of "mysterious" it's yokai) and similar characters (except the personalities of the master and apprentice areflipped lol).
