Review of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc
The Entertainment District Arc, at its core, shares the good and the bad of the Demon Slayer series as a whole. Fantastic battle animation (especially for 2D battles - amazing feat!), good music, but quite poor character development, one-dimensional characters, terrible comedy, relatively poor plotlines/transition between battles, and lots of shouting. There is no witty comedy, only gag comedy like exaggerated manga effects, snot bubbles, and basically the entire characters of Inoske and Zenitsu - this in particular can drive away some viewers completely. BUt the Entertainment District Arc does do the good things slightly better, and the bad things slightly less worse. I believe thecharacter of the sound hashira Tengen is slightly better developed than flame hashira Rengoku in mugen train arc. The plotline before the main battle involved careful infiltration, which added a new dimension to Demon Slayer. The battle animation was better than Mugen train or the first season. That's why, while season 1 and mugen train get a 5/10, I'd give this one a 6/10.
