Have you watched Umbrella Academy? I have. I remember when my cousin recommended me the show, I remember the moment when I finally watched the final season and I remember the moment right afterwards feeling disappointed. Disappointed seeing the downward spiral it led itself into somewhere in between. But that is all the more reasons I like this manhwa as it seems to be following a similar path while trying to avoid the spikes which its counterpart stepped on. Be it a world ending apocalypse, kids with superpowers, the "not so familial" dynamic between the characters etc. etc. There are much more things I canfind similarities in, but that was not what I was here for. So, any comparison between the two will cease here and the actual review will start now.

The story is about children with mysterious powers living in an isolated island, until one day, a group of people come to kill them in order to make those powers vanish for good, which leads them to flee the island. Fast forward to when they are all grown up, now all of the children are doing their own thing now. Until they are approached by a weird group talking about apocalypse and whatnot making them come together once more.

I liked the horror and mysterious start to the story. It's a little bit of a bummer that the vibe only lasts for the starting few chapters, although it makes up to be a nice introduction of the main characters. The story is very interesting in terms of the family issues they have, how they drift apart from each other, wanting to leave behind the past, that how they actually don't know much about one another despite having lived together for so long. The existence of other kids with similar powers and the otherworld being the source of those powers makes up for a good plot. Talking about the characters, I loved the characters, them having their own struggles, wanting to live their lives the way they want, how each of the individual tackles with his or her power and how they see the other members of their "family". Although if I had to choose on my favourite, it would be someone among Sanna or Bongseob, whereas the worst being Namyeon, as he is too loud and talkative for me (the way the font of the text is when namyeon is speaking, makes me instinctively read his dialogues aloud in my mind).

The cover page for the entry kind of does the manhwa dirty as a lot of readers may turn away seeing it as it is not that eye catching, although the same can't be said for the art of the actual manhwa. Downright gorgeous, was definitely not expecting this level of art. Absolutely beautiful work on the lighting and shading.

Ending this review, it is well worth your time, atleast more than the absolute slop that gets on the trending.
