5.4/10 Oh God… the edge… it’s overwhelming. This manga is so edgy that a gooner would be jealous with how much edging there was. I’m all for a good revenge story, but there’s a huge emphasis on the “good” part. Unfortunately, most revenge mangas end up as… this. This is truly an original work of art! that was sarcasm. Mc that got thrown into trash after his skill? A mc that got betrayed?Annoyingly forced evil antagonist/hero?
Even more forced villains?
Mc eventually becomes God because he killed a strong boss?
Check, check, check… and… check. God kill me.
Okay, now I know what you guys are thinking. So what if it isn’t original, as long as it’s good, right? Yeah, I agree with you, but this is not good in any realm. There’s your usual good/fun moments where the mc becomes overpowered and slaughters everything in sight, but that would hardly count as good.
Instead, the writing is absolute trash. The ability also does not make sense. Literally everything is a “clock” to him so it’s another plot device that allows the mc to do anything as long as he says “clock” after it. “One-shot ability clock!” “I’m going to f*ck your mother…clock!” Only one of the two happened but I can see the latter happening sooner or later if the mc so desires.
This is your usual power, revenge fantasy manga that I enjoyed when I was 12. The characters are all made to be so brain-numbingly bad that you get forced to root for the mc, so there’s not much to that. If you enjoy these types of stories it’s no different from the rest besides for the mc having a cool eye that looks like a clock.
