Dororo is a great piece of work and it symbolizes how misery and pain can be handled if you are fueling with animosity you can surpass the goal that keeps you up at night hungry and ready to destroy anyone who tries to jump between it. Hyakkimaru might be a passive, calm and shy character but you can sense in his presence all the outburst he has been through by losing arms, eyesight, voice, and many other usually self-evident details what most living creatures never need to slow down and think about. Mixed feelings and the love-hate relationship between Hyakkimaru, Kagemitsu, and Tohomaru was somethingheartbreaking to see but it was needed to fulfill the story for its maximum potential. Without hatred of hyakkimaru around him, this story would have been a total flop.

My favorite element on dororo was the touching and captivating friendship between dororo and Hyakkimaru because they happen to be denotatively total opposites, and that alone gives Dororo and its relationship circle special spice.

Dororo a cheerful, adorable, full of a burst of energy, and with a minimized amount of obstacles are the total opposites of Hyakkimaru which happens to face a lot of agonies, animosity, pain, self-hatred, and alienation from his parents and siblings.

Without even speaking off all the monsters and struggles of being only a crust of himself and having nothing left other than living hell around him, where only supporters he has are animals, the priest, and partly his mom.

I would have given this anime a score of 10, but its presence, story, and character development were not special enough.

Some negative aspects of Dororo as of the bigger picture were lacking character development of Tohomarul, Dororo, and Hyakkimarus, a mom who didn't do anything to diversify themselves. Also, the story had too much filler and points of time where nothing was going on, where I still needed to see what is gonna happen just in case.

I would recommend Dororo to anyone who likes feodal Japan, a beautiful friendship or is a straight-up masochist and enjoys the tale of pain that Dororo as whole paints and covers.

I also would no advocate new anime fans to watch dororo as their first 10 animes, because it is not always that easy to fully appreciate and understand.

I would never hold down on peoples throat this anime as a "you must see this at first-type of anime"

Dororo in my opinion presents the best of 2 worlds(agony and cheerfulness, calm and happy, hatred and friendship), but although for its problems in execution, one-dimensional cast expansion in their personalities and overcoming fears.

If these problems would have been fixed dororo might have been gone down as one of the top 10 animes ever and Would have been the Gin-tama of pain and the seized cult hit what we have been needing in the anime community for some time.

ty for reading strangers(=

If you disagree with my opinion comment down your thoughts on this anime series and if you have any concerns or you want to discuss this series hmu:D

I am open to criticism in writing because this is actually my first review of any anime and it might not be as sharp as many other people.

I appreciate all of you.
