Review of Attack on Titan
Shingeki no Kyojin is one of the best anime series I've ever seen! It's the storyline that I really love about this anime. It's a scenario that isn't often explored, and this anime proves that. A story that doesn't take place in Japan, the realism, the Titans, the military forces, the mysteries... Regarding the story, Hajime Isayama drew inspiration from the city of Nordlingen in Germany. The main characters are all very endearing; they have different tastes but share one goal: survival. Eren is truly the center of attention with his determination to exterminate the Titans. As for Mikasa, she stands out as one of themost different characters in the anime, not only in appearance but especially due to her Asian origins, which were unknown in their time. Lastly, Armin is the brains of the trio. As for the Titans, they are truly terrifying with their physical appearances and mercilessly devouring humans. This is what creates the terror and cruelty in the story. I also appreciate the explanations provided during the eyecatches.
The character design isn't perfect, but you quickly get used to it, which adds to the realism of the storyline. The animation is very fluid, and the battle scenes are truly epic and memorable. It's thanks to these epic moments that I was fully immersed in the anime. In terms of the soundtrack, the openings are one of the anime's strongest points, epic and blending German and Japanese languages. The endings are more dramatic and perfectly fit the cruelty of their world. Finally, the OST, composed by Hiroyuki Sawano, features memorable music that perfectly matches the atmosphere; it's dynamic and enjoyable. My favorite OST tracks are “Vogel im Käfig”, “ətˈæk 0N tάɪtn”, “E・M・A”, and “The Reluctant Heroes”.
