Review of Horimiya
As a manga reader, I have to say that I was pretty dissappointed. So while reading this, keep in mind that I am a manga ready and watched the anime afterwards. The Animation and look of the Anime is absolutely beautiful and I was really happy to see my favorite manga characters animated and their interactions. In the beginning I was unsure what to think about the colored hair, and I still can't say if I like it, because it makes the characters looks a bit unnatural, but also different from each other. I would say it comes down to taste. The sound design was done well, althoughI have to say, that I'm not into sound design too much. But since I didn't notice anything, it must be done well :P
My main complain comes from the story, because the manga has so many tiny lovely stories that I really loved about the manga, and the anime left out so many of them. It really feels rushed so that they get a specific event still in the anime with 13 episodes altho the manga takes way more time for that. I just really missed these tiny interactions and side stories that made the manga special for me.
So my general conclusion would be:
If you haven't read the manga and are looking for a lovely romance anime with great characters, lovely interactions and great animations, this is a fantastic watch for you and you will probably enjoy it way more than I did.
If you read the manga and were a fan of the small sidestories, you will miss a lot in the anime, it is worth a watch in my opinion, but you will probably be a bit dissapointed.
Overall a solid anime, but because I was dissapointed a 7/10 overall.
