Beware Of spoilers This is a classic rom-com and does some things that are not exactly revolutionary but then again if it ain't broke then don't fix it right. The story is of a boy who has been ostracized and alienated by his fellow classmate. I can somewhat resonate with the story because of the fact that when I got to highschool I felt somewhat the same. I lost almost all my friends and had a gloomy outlook while in school, I hated being there and couldn't wait to leave skipping lots of days and feeling very awkward especially when it came to group projectsjust like our main character Izumi Miyamura; as well as always feeling like my fellow classmates were looking and pointing fingers pointing out my gloom, this is one reason I can appreciate the story a little more, and feel happy that he was able to get out of that situation and fall in love while doing it. Another great factor to this story is the art being so breathtaking with the amazing dynamic shots of nature, and lighting use as well. Another thing this story is able to do is to make you hate a character so fast and be rooting for them the next second, it keeps the story interesting and engaging and allows the characters to bounce off of each other. All and all not the most innovative thing in this world, but a good story overall, and one that hit a little closer to home then some. If you watched Horimiya and enjoyed it, I would strongly recommend watching My love story!! And My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU both great as well.
