Review of Vinland Saga Season 2
Vinland Saga Season 2 starts off with a slower pacing than expected. But after the season 1 finale, the change is very welcome. Watchers are given time to understand the situation and changes that are occuring. Characters from previous seasons change so much, that they might seem unrecognizable at first. The season shines with ample time given to a new cast of characters. What I find amazing is that Vinland Saga upholds one of its central themes from the previous season - the depicion of humans as not good or bad, but an inbetween. Many characters of this season are likeable, even if theydon't seem it at first. Healing, human drama and slavery become a central theme, whereas "war" was depicted in the last season. The realistic portrayal of the damage trauma does to the mind makes VS Season 2 outshine many other series.
Overall I would definitely recommend checking this out. Maybe typical shonen action fanatics will be a bit bummed out in the beginning, but I recommend sticking to it. I was not bored for a second watching this.
