Review of Suicide Squad Isekai

When the trailer came out, I was very excited for this anime. But not that long after the series came out, I saw a lot of bad reviews and mixed opinions. I only now decided to watch it myself, and to be honest, I had expected a lot worse from what I've seen online. In my opinion, it is refreshing to see a different approach to such loved characters such as Harley Quinn and the Joker. If you watch this with certain expectations of how it will play out, especially if you're very used to the traditional stories of DC, you must let these expectations goin order to enjoy this short series. Of course, they still have their iconic personality types, but the storyline and lore differ a bit from the originals, for example the relationship between Harley and the Joker.
I really like the outfits in this anime. They are very unique and well drawn in my opinion, especially in the last episode. I do feel like they should have spread this story over more episodes, since it feels a bit rushed and might be a bit confusing if you don't pay enough attention, but for a quick watch it's fine.

Overall, I'd say just watch it yourself. This is a series you either like or don't, but personally I feel like a lot of the reviews I see on TikTok and Instagram are super dramatic. It's not that bad really.
