Short and (kinda) sweet - this mini-series anime about connection through singing between a middle school boy and a yakuza somehow gets to you, even if it’s not very relatable to most. Everyone’s got their problems - be it a voice change through puberty or a real-life karaoke competition held by the (yakuza)boss. In times of change one can find comfort in the most unlikely places. This anime surprised me with humour and engaging storytelling, unexpectedly emotional passages, beautiful visuals and high quality animation. Recommended for the lovers of slice of life genre and not only. P.s. I was super scared that it would involve someromance since the main characters are a middle school boy and a grown man but phew.
