I watched the special episode of I Got a Cheat Skill in Another World and Became Unrivaled in the Real World, Too, and honestly, it rekindled my interest in the anime. The first season always seemed too light to me, very focused on comedy, fanservice, and an overpowered protagonist, but without much dramatic tension. This special changes that scenario quite a bit. The introduction of the Vil, the idea of emotional corruption, and the real risk of the protagonist losing control add something that was missing before: conflict and narrative weight. The tone becomes much more serious, the violence appears more, and the fantasy worldfinally gains depth. There are still some moments of fanservice and humor at the beginning, but after that the episode takes a much more interesting turn. Overall, I consider it a great prologue to the second season. For me, it deserves a 9/10, mainly because it shows that the story can evolve far beyond what we saw in the first season.
