Snow Angel · review
Took this manga from the library not expecting too much judging from the cover, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise! The story and characters are a little bit more mature than your bog standard shojo manga. The main characters are all in their 20s and the main girl is struggling with her job hunt and her family life back at home, as she is almost forced into the role of a care giver for her sick grandfather. Her feelings of wanting to presue her own life, while also feeling like she owes it to help her own family is quite taboo, butI felt like it was handled well.
The first volume establishes all the characters well and lays the ground work for the relationship between the main girl and guy. It's hard to comment on how the relationship will progress so early on but its off to a promising start so far. I have a feeling that their relationship will be a slow burn but its to be seen.
Overall, I think this manga is worth a read if you find the premise interesting and I'm excited to see where the story goes from here.
