It's starting to feel that ninjas are making a comeback as the updated "exorcist" or "isekai" genre theme that so many new mangas use as their main attraction, and this manga uses that. The twist in this one is a rom-com esque theme with ninjas in the modern world. The manga is written in an episodic-like style, which is certainly a unique way to tell the story in an era of long arcs and backstories. The strongest part of this work is definitely the art-style, which fits the comedic, happy sort of vibe throughout. Character shapes are pretty dynamic, leading to some great expressions. Alsoenjoyable are the main character's personalities, with Rio definitely being a cool main character.
The main problem lies in that it feels like nothing significant has happened. The romance aspect is advancing at a snail-like pace, and it's becoming a little bland. This probably relates to the episodic-like format of chapters, but there are very few stakes, and the romance interactions have to make up for a largely generic assortment of "justu" moves and "tech" weapon usage.
Hopefully this changes in the next few chapters, but for now, this manga remians a biweekly fun sort of read.
