Otr of the Flame · review
This is one of the best looking series of the year. Straight up. It looks beautiful. The story itself is alright, the main draw is probably the charm and the mysteries behind the power system. But my god it looks really nice. This is a manga made for artists, it looks spectacular. The draw of the series later is probably going to be the world building, because it already starts off doing a lot. That being said it takes a while to get anywhere. Usually a manga gets to the point within the first two chapters, but it feels like I'm only getting into itby the end of the first volume. It does have a big issue most manga have, that being the dialogue is not great, but I'm used to it at this point honestly I've grown numb to sloppy characters. Usually this issue gets resolved as the author gets comfortable with their characters. I hope this becomes big enough to get an anime that lives up to the art in the series because I see a future where it gets picked up and fucked for no reason.
