As a fan of Chinese animation since Scissor Seven released this one caught my attention too , first thing first I love the opening song music , second is the art style , they did justice to the original manhua style , truthfully speaking at first i thought the storyline was the cliché one like the common trope involving ancient god with an avg dude thing , BUT NO ,the writing got potential man , it has some deep thinking to the story like bro how are you going to save both the leads (Yinting & Gao) when both of themcan't survive unless they kill the other one , just because that's what is written in their fate , Yinting's backstory is quiet saddening to watch and Gao ( chosen vessel for tai sui ) a freshmen , who technically hasn't even stared his college at all because of all this chaos , he is a pretty fun for a main lead , I am very curious as how they are going to end the story , do one of them die ? do they find a loophole ? will Yinting be able fulfill his purpose for which he scarified so much ?

As for some people saying Gao is a weak mc they just can't digest the fact that some stories have weak MC too, they also need help in their journey , they don't become powerful right of the bat when they get powers it takes time u can't expect the mc to kill monsters when he got zero knowledge of what the heck is happening around him you can just ignore the donghua if Ur mind can't handle , slow pacing plot .

At last if you are a non biased , plot craving anime watcher then do give this donghua a watch . peace out .
