Enjoyable season 2. I would say it's as good as season 1, but both have its strength and weaknesses. This season is divided into 2 arcs. The first one goes back in history and is very quick. The second arc will take the entire rest of the season. For me, arc one was vastly superior and more enjoyable. Not to say the second arc sucked, but it just felt...average, at best. The first arc is about Gojo and Geto's history. They also introduce the most badass mofo ever, Touji. Won't spoil it, but he's a complete breath of fresh air from the other characters. To me, thisarc was perfect and is an A+. There are some twist, and it also sets up the rest of the season. We also get some good background on Gojo and Geto.

Now the second arc...it's very convoluted. There are some parts that are good, even amazing. But honestly a lot of parts drag and are boring. I'll give 3 positives and 3 negatives.

Positive#1 - I find Yuuji to be boring as hell as the MC, but there's a moment that Yuuji conflicts with his self morals. Yeah he's your typical shounen protag who spouts a lot of stupid Naruto/MHA shit like "I'LL SAVE EVERYONE BECAUSE FRIENDSHIP", but when faced with reality- he actually has a breakdown, which I love because it humanizes him (uh even though he IS human). It's kind of a shame they didn't let him figure out the answer himself, but still the fact they had the guts to make a shounen protag severely doubt himself is interesting.

Positive#2 - The animation. Yeah, I'm a sucker for neat animations and colorful stuff flying around on my screen. The action scenes look amazing. Not just fight scenes too- even simple everyday stuff like getting coffee is really well done. VA's are also top notch as usual.

Postive #3 - Gojo. This man steals the show every time he's on screen. He did it season 1, and he does it again. I want to say more but since he's a big part of this season, I'm afraid I will spoil. But Gojo is the second best part of the season after Touji (the new guy, remember?).

That said, there are some stuff that for me- I personally felt drag the show down.

Negative #1 - TOO MANY CHARACTERS. Listen, I love world expansion, but honeslty I don't care about 2/3 of these characters. It wouldn't be as bad if we just had an intro and moved on, but the show has to dedicate 15+ minutes on characters I don't care about. The show needs to focus on the main trio, Gojo, the bad guys, and maybe 2-3 side characters. Instead we get what...15 some side character and we have to know their motivations and history and...*yawn*.

Negative #2 - Reptitive fighting style scenes. I know I put action scenes as a positive, but that's the animation part. Every fight scene, especially the side character is like this- random good guy fights bad guy, start fight, then show history of each, then fight, then history, and end fight. A little change up would be nice. Also, everything is being thrown and shot everywhere- humans, curses, cars, clothes, signs, and it all survives lol. It reminds me the end of Man of Steel movie when Superman fights Zod and there's so much destruction that it actually becomes boring since there's no weight or significant behind the actions.

Negative#3 - Unfortunately Jujutsu Kaisen falls under the premise of illogical sense. The powers make no sense. One scene Nobara is getting whooped physically by a weakass pony tail cross dresser, the next she's fighting a main baddy who is pushing Youji to his max, and now she's jumping and flying across rooftops like she's got super speed and strength. It also kills me that they don't use GUN against soccerers. Yeah it doens't work against curses, but it sure as hell does with HUMANS. Yo, instead of relying on a rusty as blade, go in with M16 and bombs. It would solve the issue real quick since the half the bad guys are sorcerers. The show even tries to make light of using conventional weapon, but doesn't address why it's not the best option.

Over all, I still give it a high score of 8/10 because I do feel there was a lot of effort into making this season look amazing. It's like if your extremely talented artist friend drew the most amazing toilet you've ever seen. Details is god-level, but dude why draw a toilet. Season 2 is more style than substance, but there are moments that I did thoroughly enjoy. I want to say I'm excited for season 3, but I have no freaking clue what the ending to this season is about because it was so abrupt. Will have to do research to understand.

Anyways, do recommend if you're a Juju Kai fan.
