Nanako SOS · review
Nanako is cute, but the show itself isn't interesting. There are two reasons for this lack of entertainment: first, the characters aren't appealing, and second, the storyline is quite childish and uninteresting. Apart from the main character, Nanako, the other characters are depicted as either foolish or unattractive. This makes them aesthetically displeasing or annoying. All the characters are fond of Nanako, and even the villains attack the protagonists simply because they want to make Nanako their own. Even though the genre falls under supernatural, Nanako's transformation scenes are underwhelming. There is a lack of effort put into them. The show is episodic, dealing with separate stories eachtime, but none of the stories are engaging. As always, the villains are constantly targeting Nanako, and most of the new supporting characters are either unattractive or have obvious flaws. The stories typically end with Nanako unintentionally helping them with her actions, leading them to thank her.
While the story is dull, there are occasional moments of humor in the form of quirky and funny dialogue exchanges between characters. However, these moments are rare, and rather than progressing the story, they often lead to chaotic and distracting situations, making it hard to stay focused.
