Whos says art is dead in the digital age? Paprika is a movie that proves animation and digital are both still alive and valid when done well. Paprika is honestly what modern Ghibli movies wish they had, but lack in today's releases. This movie has the passion that reflects older Ghibli films, but none of that loss in dull execution. Paprika is both smooth, interesting, and artistic. It is 100% a classic on its own. Paprika is a movie that carries the same Masterpiece work as something found in Spirited Away. Top quality animation, whimsical fiction, and a good story that will keep you engage from startto end.

Not only is the artwork in this movie eye candy, but the whimsical creativity will keep you engaged. That same creative passion that people were in awe about Spirited Away and Howls moving castle can be found in Paprika, and its not even a Ghibli movie. Its just an animation with the same heart.

Thus its clear, that Ghibli is not the only one that can deliver a touch of originality, and NEITHER is our digital age the problem, but the only thing that holds back a good production today is the passion behind its creativity.

Paprika can hold that candle where most studios give up on digital master crafting. The Art: 10/10 delightful. The Sound: 7/10 amusing and memorable. Characters: 9/10 actually memorable. Story: 8/10 engaging and touching at times. Creativity: 100/10. Art lovers rejoice.
