Review of Higurashi: When They Cry – Kai

I finished this show about 9 months ago, but I'm just now getting around to review it. The Higurashi series is my all time favourite anime series, so obviously I really enjoyed watching this. It is a must watch for all anime lovers. The opening songs for the first two seasons (which includes this one) are two of my favourite songs. Kai, in my opinion, is better than the first season. It gets even darker, and character background is further elaborated, especially the characters Rika and Takano. The mystery is further developed yet answers are also provided. The story does a good job at establishing emotional connectionsto the characters.
The voice acting is nice, I'm glad they decided not to dub it.
I can't stress it enough... WATCH THIS SERIES! You will not be disappointed.
