The tears!! In this review I will be focusing on Story, Art, characters and my enjoyment. {light Spoilers might be ahead} Story: Anohana revolves around how the lives of a group of students changed after their best friend passed away, and now the ghost of that friend is back for a wish to be granted. I found the plot very unique and different, that is the main reason why I decided to give this show a shot, and I loved it! This is not just a ghost story, this is also about how the bond of these students fell apart. Throughout the show we see thesestudents slowly recover and get together again in an emotional journey. The flaw that I had with the show is that the plot was very predictable.

Characters:
The characters are pretty relatable for the most parts. You get to see how each character is linked with their friend's death at certain flashbacks. The story also focuses on each of their lives after the tragedy. Even some of the supporting characters, for example the ghost's mother provided some heart melting moments. I also fell in love with the ghost girl, she is very adorable and likable!

Art:
The art for Anohana is amazing, just like any other A-1 pictures anime. The characters are well designed and the entire show is drawn beautifully.

Enjoyement:
Anohana is one of those anime that effects you so hard that after you finish watching it you fall in this hole and you want to watch something similar as what you just watched. I enjoyed Anohana a lot and it is one of the most memorable series I had watched in years. Besides all the positives, the wish that was finally revealed near the end seemed pretty unnecessary to me and it was very non nonsensical. Another aspect of this show that annoyed me was that Menma tries to proof that she is real however she is invisible and nobody but the main character can hear or see her, that's why it is difficult for her to prove that to the others. Alright, that's fine, but she also had the ability to physically interact with her surroundings, so instead of doing that from the beginning, she reveals herself towards the very end of the series.

Overall, if you are looking for an emotional story with good plot, then you should give Anohana a try. However if you are looking for a logical plot, then Anohana will not give that to you, but who cares about logic right? anime is wacky and that's why we love it!
