The anime, Angelic Layer, isn't recognized very often. Among us otakus and maybe the older audience may be able to recognize it. The story is very lighthearted and predictable at moments but its cute to watch if you want to watch something similar to yugioh but with girls and fighting dolls. It is not filled with too much romance but it does have some shoujo elements put to it and, if this encourages you even more, the anime is a CLAMP work which makes it almost automatically good.
