Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion

A fair warning to new anime watchers. You will be recommended to watch this. Please do not. First it is a really heavy piece to start with, second you will not appreciate the amount of greatness this anime shows in art and sound. You should have a profund knowledge of the history and making of anime. This is a psychological anime driving deep into the dark parts of every human. The characters are struck by different psychological issues showing affect during the show. It is not a mecha anime, please don't watch it for that. For me this show was too heavy or I am just too dumbto appreciate the deeper meaning. Every episode was like "Watch it and write a 20 page essay about it"
For people who like to analyze the shit out why the door is red, this is the masterpiece. For me it was painful to watch.

I have never been so split between acknowledging the greatness of an anime and the lack of enjoyment it gave me. And yes please watch the movie to have a real ending.
