Review of Neon Genesis Evangelion
If Evangelion was a life-changing, incredible experience the first time that I watched it, in the beginning of 2018, it can only be said that my enjoyment and amazement with Neon Genesis Evangelion grows exponentially with every rewatch. (Of which there naturally have been many) My strongest, most personal reasoning for the rating of this experience is simply that Neon Genesis Evangelion changed my life. Irreversibly so, as the first anime I ever watched, and subsequently binged from beginning to end multiple times over, it had a practically universal impact on my life, making it my gateway into the "wonderful" community of ヲタク, へんたいand many a バカ. Eva definitely served to widen my horizons as a lone human being, be it of the humans of this Earth or the depths of my very own self, this show provided a stable ground for the further development of an understanding.
No other show deserves a 10/10 score as much as Evangelion does. No other show can in my mind seize the place in my heart which the aesthetics, sound design, music, characters and story of Evangelion and its final concluding movie claimed when I first had my mind impacted by Hideaki Anno and the wonderful people behind the Evangelion anime.
