This may be a biased review; but reviews are reviews, right? Spoiler warning! Hunter x Hunter may be one of the best animes I have ever watched. I honestly can't stop thinking about it. I can't stop drawing the gang. I can't stop thinking of silly scenarios that Gon and Killua may be in. Nonetheless, I will review the story, characters, sound and art. I think this is my first review so I am not sure how this works! Firstly, let's start with the story. It is witty, engaging and very entertaining. Each arc you can see lots of character development and learn more about each character. Myparticular favorite scene is inevitably the Chimera Ant arc, especially because of the unexpected heart-pulling plotline. Man, that shit hurted... With each arc, there is something new and exciting happening. As you step into a new arc each time, it becomes more heartfelt and darker than before. In the beginning, it appears to be something aimed for kids, but it is much more than that. It touches on subjects that allows the audience to empathize rather than sympathize. Because the characters are well crafted, it really seems like they do exist in reality and have impact on the world. (which they somewhat do) The idea of "nen" and "auras" was very interesting. I really really liked that part of it; something like that must have been well thought out. Each character had it's own characteristic which made each character different and unique.
Also, the vibes in this anime is also very comforting.

The characters are very appealing. You'll see that Gon is not an ordinary main protagonist, not the typical hero you'd see who would give up anything to save the world. He merely just wants to become a hunter just to find his dad. Moreover, you begin to see the subtleness of his dark side and the hidden foreshadowing of his character climax arc. With this, themes such as morals, right and wrong have been heavily used in a way to question the protagonist and his actions. It is quite interesting to watch. To include, his best friend, Killua, an ex-assassin can also be considered as a main protagonist. Struggling with inner demons, he also faces a character arc that faces true growth development that you become emotionally attached to him. Both him and Gon. And their friendship. I really really admire their friendship. A connection stronger than just friendship, but also more than lovers. The writing of their bond is truly one of the best. As someone who is very emotional, I was so invested in their friendship. Can I also say Leorio is so funny! LOL.
I also want to mention Hisoka, a true wild card. I love how he is not a full on antagonist with evil intentions. He honestly just loves fighting and is driven by it. There is nothing to it. He has no major drive, and his past remains a history besides the fact he loves particular candy as a child. Other than that, Hisoka's mysterious charm becomes one of his charismatic trait to the audience. I enjoyed watching him. Especially when he appears, his unique theme song plays. That shit is iconic!

The music. The soundtrack. Everytime I listen, I am always bound to cry. It has been carefully crafted to become very very outstanding. I dont think I can listen to other anime OSTS or soundtracks without comparing it to HxH.
The art! I don't know what else to say. I am quite fond of Togashi's art style; it has become a bit mixed into mine. The animation was quite smooth and well-rounded for 2011. I can't believe it has already been 10 years!!! ahh...

overall! hunter x hunter is probably the best shounen anime in my opinion. :) LOL. you will get very attached to every character, no matter how "evil" or "good" they are. i dont know what else to say, but i highly recommend it. umm thats allthank u
