Review of Is This a Zombie? of the Dead
Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? of the Dead (2012) This begins immediately after the first season and its OVA which is great to see no time-skipping. We have pretty much the same cast but with the addition of a few new faces with the main one being Chris as the antagonist of sorts. We also get a tiny viewing of the Queen of Villers Lilia Lilith and also Naegleria Nebiros who is hilarious in her setting despite who she is. As for the story itself, it does continue along the path and is hilarious to see as it goes on. You get plenty of scenarios anddifferent events happening keeping it all very light-hearted. The only complaint is that the story is sort of unfinished with this season and could have benefited from more episodes but then I haven't yet watched the OVA or the 11th episode which is separate from this.
The art is still a great standard considering its age and I honestly think even in another 10 years it will still look great.
The OP and ED are both fun and the OST generally is nice with good SFX for 2012.
Characters develop all over the place and it would be a far too in-depth review to cover all of it. What matters is this time Taeko was nearly pushed off best girl by Ariel, Kris and Yuki. Yuki is a very hard one since her whole character is beyond cute. Eu speaks more which is wonderful and don't skip the credits at the end since we have some funny Eu based humour. Also, characters like Sarasvati have unusual interests when it comes to love which is refreshing.
The BIGGEST DEVELOPMENT IS A BREAK IN HAREM, YES A BREAK IN THE HAREM PROCESS. This is important and unusual to actually see another notable character Orito actually have a girl be a love interest for him which is confirmed in the source material that Kanami is not interested in our protagonist but in the side character. Is the world not beautiful! Not a spoiler but a holy relic to be remembered.
The show is very enjoyable and top-class in that sense, it loses marks for not being complete and not being an absolute masterpiece but I would absolutely come back and watch this again without hesitation.
9/10.
