Writing comes in various levels of quality. Of course, excellent writing is nice, but that's not always what you get. As writing gets worse, the quality of a work decreases quickly- but right in the middle, when the writing is so nonsensical but still takes itself entirely seriously, there is a massive spike in quality that cannot be topped. Like a reverse uncanny valley, the work is elevated to great heights by it's sheer insanity and dedication to itself. If you are reading this, you have stumbled upon one such work. ICE: The Last Generation is very bad, but it is not *bad*. In fact, itis perfect.

Is this anime for everyone? No. Not at all. Most people will see the insane premise and over the top execution and come to the conclusion that this is some cringe anime from the early 00's better left forgotten. However, for those who can become as insane as the writers themselves and allow the OVA to sweep them into the fantasy completely, they will find themselves caught unprotected in a storm of unfiltered gold so fierce that it breaks the mind forevermore.

This anime is tailor-made for an audience that will accept it before the first second. If you go in with any doubt at all, this is not an anime I recommend.

I cannot really say anything else on the matter. It's a difficult anime to really put together a review for after watching- it's more of an experience than anything tangible.
