'Kabukichou Sherlock' Bundles OVA
On Sunday, the official website of Kabukichou Sherlock announced that the anime will bundle a 6-episode original video animation, along with a pilot clip from the anime's early production and an audio commentary from the voice actors of Sherlock Holmes (Katsuyuki Konishi), John H. Watson (Yuuichi Nakamura), and James Moriarty (Seiichirou Yamashita). The Blu-ray and DVD will be released on August 26.
The OVA's first episode, titled "Moriarty no Shoutai" (The Identity of Moriarty), will reveal the secret roots of the Kabukichou squadron, revolving around a Kabukichou Irregular Yoshio's attempt to pickpocket Moriarty back in their younger days.
Ai Yoshimura (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.) helmed the direction of the mystery-themed original anime under Production I.G, with Taku Kishimoto (Haikyuu!!) as the series composer, and Toshiyuki Yahagi (Joker Game) as the chief animation directer and character designer. The TV anime aired for 24 episodes from October 2019 to March 2020.
