'Sonny Boy' Reveals Main Cast, July 16 Premiere

The official website for Madhouse's original TV anime Sonny Boy revealed the main cast on Thursday. The sci-fi survival anime will premiere on July 16 at 12:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX and KBS Kyoto, followed by broadcasts on Sun TV, BS Asahi, and RAB (Aomori Broadcasting). Funimation will stream the series with English subtitles.

Production company Shochiku and Madhouse unveiled Sonny Boy in April and announced the main staff. The series is being written and directed by Shingo Natsume (One Punch Man). Norifumi Kugai (ACCA: 13-ku Kansatsu-ka) is adapting Hisashi Eguchi's (Perfect Blue) original character designs. Mari Fujino (Dororo) is the art director and Shouji Hata (Great Pretender) is the sound director.
