According to Eiga.com, the box office of the first two days of One Piece: Strong World was 1 billion and 38 million yen ($11.8 million), which exceeded that of Gake no Ue no Ponyo ($11.6 million). The One Piece movie was premiered on 188 screens and Ponyo was shown on 481 screens. The average income per screen established the Japanese record.

Toei Film announced that they will additionally print 1 million copies of the "volume 0" of One Piece manga book, which is a giveaway for the audience.
