'Kagami no Kojou' Announces Additional Cast

The official website of the Kagami no Kojou (The Solitary Castle in the Mirror) movie announced eight additional cast on Tuesday. The movie is scheduled to open in Japan on December 23.

Keiichi Hara (Birthday Wonderland) is directing the movie at A-1 Pictures. Keigo Sasaki (Ao no Exorcist) is acting as the character designer and chief animation director. Miho Maruo (Flanders no Inu (Movie)) is in charge of the screenplay, and Harumi Fuuki (Piano no Mori (TV)) is composing the music.

The anime movie adapts Mizuki Tsujimura's fantasy novel, originally published by Poplar Publishing in May 2017. The novel was re-released as a two-volume paperback edition in March 2021.

A manga adaptation with illustrations by Tomo Taketomi was serialized in Shueisha's Ultra Jump magazine from June 2019 to February 2022. Shueisha shipped the fifth and final volume on May 18.
