'Yuusha-kei ni Shosu' Announces Additional Cast

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Shoukai Rocket's Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku (Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004) light novel announced additional cast member on Saturday. The anime series, originally scheduled to air in October 2025, is now planned for a January 2026 premiere.

Shoukai Rocket originally began penning the action fantasy light novel on the Kakuyomu website in October 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the title under its Dengeki no Shinbungei label with illustrations by Mephisto in September 2021 and released the seventh volume on January 17.

Natsumi Inoue began serializing a manga adaptation in Dengeki Comic Regulus in March 2022. Kadokawa published the second volume in April 2024.

Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in August 2023 and released the fourth volume on May 20. The fifth volume is planned for a December 9 release. Kadokawa publishes the manga adaptation in English on the BookWalker Global website.
