Manga 'Shy' Concludes in Three Chapters
Bukimi Miki, the creator of Shy, announced on their X (formerly Twitter) account on Thursday that the manga will conclude in three chapters. The 293rd chapter will mark the conclusion of the manga's over six-year run.
Miki began drawing the action drama manga as a one-shot, which won the Newcomer's Grand Prize in Akita Shoten's 2nd Next Champion Awards in 2016. Weekly Shounen Champion began serializing the manga in August 2019. Akita Shoten published the 31st volume on October 8, with the 32nd and final volume scheduled to be released on December 8. The manga has a cumulative 1.4 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
8bit adapted the manga into a 12-episode television anime in Fall 2023, followed by a second season in Summer 2024. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime worldwide with subtitles and an English dub, excluding Asia.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in July 2022. The 11th volume went on sale on October 28, and the 12th volume is scheduled for release in February 2026.
