'Seirei Gensouki 2' Reveals Production Staff, Additional Cast, Fall 2024 Premiere
The official website of the television anime adaptation of Yuri Kitayama's Seirei Gensouki (Spirit Chronicles) light novel revealed on Tuesday the production staff, additional cast, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video for the second season. The new season is scheduled to premiere in October 2024 on TV Tokyo, BS Fuji, and other stations.
Hiroyuki Yoshino (Boku no Hero Academia) joins the cast as Hiroaki Sakata.

Kitayama launched the adventure fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2014 and also began publishing side stories on Hobby Japan's Novel Up+ website in December 2019. The publisher began printing the novel with illustrations by Riv the following October. The 25th volume was shipped on February 1.
A manga adaptation by tenkla began on the Comic Fire website in October 2016, but discontinued in February 2017 due to the artist's poor health. Futago Minazuki launched a new manga adaptation on the same website in July 2017. Hobby Japan published the tenth volume in September 2023.
J-Novel Club licensed both the light novel and second manga adaptation in English for digital release in July and November 2018, respectively. The 10th manga volume went on sale on April 25, with the 24th light novel volume released on May 8.
