Manga 'Tenchi Souzou Design-bu' Receives TV Anime

The official website for Kodansha's monthly Morning Two magazine announced on Tuesday that the comedy manga Tenchi Souzou Design-bu will receive a TV anime adaptation. A key visual (pictured right) and teaser were released with the announcement.

Synopsis
"In Heaven's Animal Design Department, designers create a variety of new animals daily while contending with the unreasonable requests of their client: God. This series answers questions such as, 'Why can't unicorns exist?', 'What makes an animal taste delicious?', 'What's the most powerful creature in the ocean?', and, 'Bird versus snake: who would win?'" Tenchi Souzou Design-bu is written by Tsuta Suzuki (Akanai Tobira) and Hebizou (Nihonjin no Shiranai Nihongo), with art by Tarako. It began serialization on February 22 in Morning Two's third issue of 2017, and its fifth compiled volume will be released on April 23. It is licensed in English as Heaven's Design Team by Kodansha Comics USA and has been published digitally since May 2018, with the first print volume due on September 22.
