'Gensou Suikoden' Announces Main Cast, Staff

The Suikoden Live event at Tokyo Game Show 2025 revealed the main cast, staff, and a visual for the Gensou Suikoden (Suikoden: The Anime) anime on Saturday (pictured above). The anime adapting Konami's fantasy role-playing game will air in 2026.

Yuuzou Satou (Exception) is helming the anime at Konami animation.

The Suikoden franchise debuted in 1995 on the PlayStation, drawing inspiration from the classic Chinese novel Shui Hu Zhuan (Water Margin). Developed by Konami Gensou Suikoden II (Suikoden II) was released in December 1998, followed by three more games in the main series in July 2002, August 2004, and February 2006 as well as multiple spin-offs.

Shinjirou Hori penned a light novel adaptation under Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint with illustrations by Fumi Ishikawa from December 2000 to September 2001.
