New Anime Announced: Okami to Kyoshinryo
Okami to Koshinryo (or: Merchant meets Spicy Wolf) a popular light novel fantasy series will soon have an anime adaptation. The official site went online this week announcing plans for a 12-episode series. Airing dates have not been made public at this point but a game will go on sale September 27 this year followed by the first manga volume in November. The series will be directed by Takeo Takahashi (Rozen Maiden, Rizelmine, Kaibutsu Oujo). Cast jet unknown.
story: The peddler Craft Lorence travels through the world selling all kinds of things. During a festival in a small town he gets into trouble and has to flee with a hay wagon. After travelling a safe distance he discovers a sleeping girl under the hay. She has wolf ears and a tail. The wolf girl explains that she has been called a "God" but her name really is Howl and nothing else. Lorence teases the girl a little, but after hearing more of her story is moved and decides to accompany her further north. On their travels the two have all sorts of adventures & often get into (money) trouble but slowly the bond between them grows stronger.
