Additional 'City The Animation' Cast Announced [Update 4/21]
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Keiichi Arawi's City manga revealed a second additional pair of cast on Monday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on July 7 at 12:00 a.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by ABC TV, TV Aichi, and BS11.
Voice actors Kazutomi Yamamoto (Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE!) and Kiyomitsu Mizuuchi (Ergo Proxy) are joining the cast as Obaba and Ii Hito, respectively.
Taichi Ishidate (Violet Evergarden) is directing the television anime at Kyoto Animation. Tamami Tokuyama (Hibike! Euphonium: Ensemble Contest-hen animation director) is serving as both the character designer and chief animation director. Instrumental band Piranhans is composing the music.
Arawi, best known for Nichijou, began drawing the manga in Morning weekly magazine in September 2016. Following a four and a half-year-run, Arawi concluded the manga in February 2021. Kodansha published the 13th and final volume in April that year.
Vertical licensed the manga in English in July 2017 and released all 13 volumes between March 2018 and January 2022.

The official website of the City the Animation television anime announced a third pair of additional cast on Monday.
Voice actors Yuuko Gotou (Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu) and Jin Domon (One Piece) are joining the cast as Sakurako Tanabe and Hotaka, respectively.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the City the Animation television anime announced a fourth pair of additional cast on Monday.
Voice actors Makoto Kaneko (Kenja no Mago) and Atsushi Kousaka (Hetalia Axis Powers) are joining the cast as Rindou Obina and Yamato Kurogane, respectively.
