An official Twitter for bkub Ookawa's Poputepipikku (Pop Team Epic) has opened and announced that it will get TV anime adaptation. Animated by Kamikaze Douga and produced by King Records, it is slated for Fall 2017.
Poputepipikku began its serialization on web manga website Manga Life Win in August 2014. The first part ended in November 2015 and second part started in February 2016. The physical compiled volume was released on December 2015. It's an unprecedented gag 4-koma manga that centers around two girls called Popuko and Pipimi and uses lots of news topics in surreal way.
It was previously announced on April 1 that bkub Ookawa's fake work Hoshiiro Girldrop would get an anime adaptation as an April Fool's day joke with the PV, therefore the link for the official website and Twitter relates to "Hoshiiro Anime."
