Title, Cast, Additional Staff Announced for 'Akudama Drive' Original TV anime

The newly created official website for Kazutaka Kodaka's (Danganronpa series) TV Anime Akudama Drive, announced in September 2018, revealed its main cast, additional staff and a promotional video on Friday. The anime is set to air this July.

Synopsis
Long ago, a war broke out in Japan that pitted Kantou against Kansai and divided the country. Kansai became dependent on Kantou, but slowly the police and government began losing control of Kansai to criminals known as Akudama.

Previously announced staff include Tomohisa Taguchi (Persona series) leading as director for game studio Too Kyo Games and Studio Pierrot. Numerous creators of Danganronpa are working on the project such as Rui Komatsuzaki (Danganronpa series) who is credited as the original character designer alongside script writer Norimitsu Kaihou (Danganronpa 3: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen series). Kodaka came up with the show's original concept, drawing influence from 1990's crime and action films such as Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Léon.
