'Sayonara Lara' Reveals Main Cast, Additional Staff, Teaser Promo, 2026 Premiere
The official website of the Sayonara Lara (Goodbye, Lara) television anime announced the main cast, staff, a teaser visual (pictured), and teaser promotional video on Monday. The anime series is scheduled to premiere in 2026.
Hana Hishikawa (Delicious Party♡Precure) is starring as the main character Lara.
The new staff includes Anna Kawahara and Yuma Yamaguchi (Shiguang Dailiren) as series composition and music composer, respectively.
Takushi Koide (Shoujo☆Kageki Revue Starlight assistant director) is helming the anime at Kinema Citrus, featuring character designs by Shiori Tani (Star Wars: Visions).
Sayonara Lara is based on The Little Mermaid and follows a mermaid who wishes to be loved by a human. After her death, she is reincarnated 200 years later in modern day Japan in Lake Biwa. She then learns to fit into the human world.
