'Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei' Reveals Main Cast, 2026 Premiere

The official website of the television anime adapting Mitsuru Inoue's Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei: Seisankei Majutsu de Na mo Naki Mura wo Saikyou no Jousai Toshi ni (Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City, Fun Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord) light novel series announced the main cast on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2026.

Inoue began penning the fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2020. Overlap began publishing the series under its Overlap Novels label in September 2021, featuring illustrations by Kururi (Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata). The seventh volume went on sale on January 25, with the eighth volume (pictured) set to be released on August 25.

Maro Aoiro began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in August 2021. Overlap published the seventh volume in April 2025.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in English in March 2023. The fifth manga and novel volume shipped on July 1 and August 19, respectively.
