The seventh volume of Minami Kamakura Koukou Joshi Jitensha-bu (Minami Kamakura High School Girls Cycling Club) went on sale today, and announced that the series will be adapted to an anime (pictured right).

The sports manga is written and illustrated by Noriyuki Matsumoto, whose previous work includes the original character designs for the TV anime Mouretsu Pirates. Minami Kamakura Koukou Joshi Jitensha-bu began serialization in shounen magazine Comic Blade in August 2011.

Synopsis
Maiharu Hiromi has moved to Kamakura Nagasaki and rides a bicycle to school every day. Then she meets Akizuki Tomoe, the leader of the girls' cycling club. She then joins the club, and her life gradually begins to change.

The first chapter of the manga is available on the official website. A promotional video for the manga was released in February 2013 (below).
